As a JMU student, you know about resilience and the importance of taking your future into your own hands. Strengthen your position and ability to bounce back by continuing to build or expand your skill set while taking a class this summer. Find something that suits your needs from 4, 6, 8 and 10 week courses, plus in-person, asynchronous or synchronous course instruction.

Since there are many benefits to taking a summer course, the Hart School is offering a wide variety of classes for you to choose from. You could:

  • Open up future semesters to complete a minor, concentration, study abroad or get further involved on campus
  • Avoid falling behind due to changing your major
  • Boost your GPA by repeating a course that you need to retake
  • Get a general education class out of the way or take a prerequisite
  • Expand your horizons - take a class that you would not otherwise be exposed to

Registration for summer classes opens Monday, March 28, 2022.

You can review the entire JMU summer schedule of courses with specific details and register for courses in MyMadison

Questions regarding summer courses and registration may be directed to the Hart School advisors at hodgessb@jmu.edu or dillenhe@jmu.edu
