Clinical and School Psychology (Psy.D.): Application Requirements

The application will open October 1. February 1 is the deadline to be guaranteed consideration.

Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.
Required by Program
- Submit a personal statement that includes a brief autobiographical sketch outlining your professional experience, interests, and future plans. Also indicate why you think you would be a good fit with the Combined-Intergrated Program at JMU and if there are any particular areas that intrigue you about our program or particular faculty members with whom you would like to work on professional goals
- Current professional vitae
- Three letters of recommendation
- Must have completed an advanced degree in clinical school or counseling psychology
- Students who are selected for an interview will be invited to campus in late February.
- GRE General Test is required - GRE Subject Test is preferred, but not required.
