Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.
Required by Program
- Submit a personal statement that includes a brief autobiographical sketch outlining your professional experience, interests, and future plans. Also indicate why you think you would be a good fit with the Combined-Integrated Program at JMU and if there are any particular areas that intrigue you about our program or particular faculty members with whom you would like to work on professional goals.
- Must choose a core Faculty/Associate Faculty member from the Doctoral Program in Clinical and School Psychology as a potential mentor (can list two)
- Current professional vitae
- Three letters of recommendation
- Have completed an advanced degree (M.A. or Ed.S.) in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field - If you have any questions about whether or not you would qualify, contact Andrea Henriques at henriqas@jmu.edu.
- Students who are selected for an interview will be invited to campus in late February.
- Submitting GRE scores is optional for applicants. Those who wish to submit their GRE scores may do so such that their scores are considered as part of their overall application, but those who do not submit them will not be penalized and their applications will be fully considered with no negative impact.
