Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

Required by Program
  • This program is only open to applicants who have successfully completed the JMU undergraduate degree with an IDLS major and ELED minor. If you have graduated from another institution, you may want to consider the Early Childhood Education - MAT program.
  • Successful completion of JMU undergraduate degree with IDLS major and ELED minor
  • Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better.
Test Requirements

Applicants must pass all four sub-tests of the Praxis Subject Assessment - Multiple Subjects, Elementary Education by January 1 prior to the start of the summer graduate ELED program.
