Application Deadline
The application will open October 1 and the deadline is January 15. The CSD program at JMU participates in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Central Application Service known as CSDCAS. In order to be considered for admission, you must also complete an application through CSDCAS at https://csdcas.liaisoncas.com/applicant-ux/#/login.

Transcripts
Send official transcripts to JMU only if offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.
Required by Program
Applicants are required to complete an application through both JMU and CSDCAS by January 15.
Two-Part Application Process:
1. Complete an Application through JMU Graduate School.
2. Complete an Application through CSDCAS, with the following:
- Current resume
- Statement of intent (Personal essay regarding career goals, reasons for pursuing a doctoral degree, and areas of clinical and/or research interest)
- Names and contact information for three individuals who have agreed to serve as references
- Official transcripts

- The JMU AuD program no longer requires GRE scores for admissions. Applications will be reviewed in accordance with the department’s holistic admission philosophy. - A virtual interview is required for all finalists and is initiated by invitation from the program not the applicant.
- Upon admission to the program, applicants will be required to submit official transcripts to the Graduate School. The preferred method is an electronic copy sent via e-Scrip or National Student Clearing House.
