Theme and Activities
This year's theme, "One Tree Many Branches," introduces campers to Abrahamic faiths traditions, their common roots,
Camp activities include:
- Music, art and storytelling.
- Games and recreational activities.
- Visits to
synagogue, mosque and a church.local - Time for exploration, questions and discussion.
Counselors and Junior Counselors
Counselors are 18+ year olds who teach art, recreation and music activities, as well as oversee small groups of campers. Counselors serve as mentors and role models to Junior Counselors.
Interfaith Peace Camp offers a Junior Counselor Program for teens 13-18 years old. During camp, Junior Counselors help
Snacks and Lunch
Area restaurants and local faith communities donate lunches and we provide healthy snacks each day. If your child has food sensitivities that will prevent them from eating what we can provide, please be sure to pack a lunch.
Location
2019 IPC will be held at JMU’s Memorial Hall, the former Harrisonburg High School. Memorial Hall is located at 395 South High Street. Parking for the Interfaith Peace Camp is available at the C8 lot, next to Memorial Hall.
Student Drop off / Pick up: Please drop off and pick up your child from Memorial Hall. Park at the C8 lot and enter the east entrance to the Memorial Hall building. Registration desk, drop off and pick up will be completed at the entrance hall.
