After reviewing your email using the Email Quality Checklist, you can request your email to be released.
Requests should be made at least one business day before the desired release date in case there are problems with the email. Your email release may be delayed if it does not meet the requirements outlined in the Email Quality Checklist. We will reach out to you with any questions we have prior to releasing.
If you are using iModules and sending to external (non @jmu.edu email) audiences
To request release, first look at the url of the email you are editing.

If there is "&gid=2" in the url as shown above, then please complete this Email Release Request form, specifying the EXACT email name you are requesting to release.
If the value is "&gid=7" then contact uaqa@jmu.edu to release your email.

If you sending from the Advancement business unit and are using Marketing Cloud
Unfortunately with the new Marketing Cloud system we are no longer able to have an automated email release process. The manual process takes longer, and requires our staff to block out our calendars for 2 hours each day, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and then again from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, so that we can be available to process all requests.
Please note that we can no longer accommodate exceptions to the following rules:
1. Scheduling Requirements

Standard Notice: Requests should be submitted at least 24 business hours in advance (excluding weekends and holidays).

Next-Day Cutoff: If requesting a release for the following business day, the earliest available time is 11:00 AM.

Why? This provides the 10:00 AM review team enough time to troubleshoot and finalize the deployment.

Emergency Buffer: If an 11:00 AM release fails due to technical issues, you have until 3:00 PM to fix the issues and resubmit a release request for 4:00 PM the same day.

Business Hours: All requests must be submitted during standard working hours.

After-Hours Emergencies: For urgent releases outside of business hours, use the emergency text numbers provided on the release form. Please note that these releases are not guaranteed.
