Why did you become an ambassador?
I became an ambassador to help the ISAT program improve and grow. I also want to help recruit new members to join the major.
Why did you choose the ISAT program?
I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with my career, but I knew I liked science and technology. ISAT seemed like the perfect major because it lets me explore many fields while also building essential skills and gaining hands-on experience.
What do you enjoy most about ISAT? The professors. They are all kind and want to help students succeed
What is your favorite class or project? ISAT 320 Fundamentals of Environment. I enjoy learning about ecology and how humans affect the environment.
Who has been an influential professor, mentor, or advisor for you at JMU?
Paul Henriksen has been a huge help to my success at JMU. He is always willing to help students with anything, and he wants to see you succeed.
Have you had an internship, study abroad, or research experience?
I did a study abroad program in Japan during Summer 2026. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I met some amazing people. I recommend studying abroad to everyone!
What clubs, student organizations, or activities are you involved in? Theta Tau (engineering fraternity), ISAT Honors Society, and JMU Pep Band.
What is something you love to do outside of class? I love snorkeling, running, watching/playing sports, and exploring in nature.
What is your favorite spot on campus? Dhall because I love food.
If you had to describe your JMU experience in three words, what would they be? fun, enlightening, greatness
What advice would you give to a prospective student? Introduce yourself to people and remember their names.
