Class of 2028

Why did you become an ambassador? To inspire others to join ISAT because an ambassador was the first person to introduce me to this versatile major.

Why did you choose your major? I was interested in the scientific field but didn't know specifically what I wanted to study and ISAT sounded like the perfect opportunity to explore many interests and hone in on the skills that I was best at in the end.

What do you enjoy most about your program? The professors are very helpful and available because of the small class sizes. This has also helped me build close relationships with my peers and make lifelong friends.

What is your favorite class or project? ISAT 113 was my favorite class by far! I love biotechnology and fell in love with everything that goes along with it in that course!

Who has been an influential professor, mentor, or advisor? Dr. Coffman created an amazing classroom environment and has inspired me in so many ways to work hard for what I want to achieve in my future career.

What clubs, student organizations, or activities are you involved in? Dancing Dukes, Club Tennis, and InterVarsity

What is something you love to do outside of class? I love going to workout classes at UREC, especially pilates!

What is your favorite spot on campus? Carrier Library

Describe your JMU experience in three words: Welcoming, enjoyable, rewarding

What advice would you give to a prospective student? Take every opportunity you can and run with it because you never know where it will take you!
