Overview

This innovative option is designed to provide greater flexibility for students balancing work, family, and educational commitments. The BSN–Fast Flex pathway will be offered exclusively during evenings and weekends, with an accelerated format that includes two required summer sessions.

• Summer (A shortened, fast-paced semester)
• Fall
• Spring
• Summer (A shortened, fast-paced semester. Degree conferral will occur in August)

Unlike the traditional 16-week fall and spring semesters, the summer sessions will feature coursework delivered in a shorter, focused timeframe. This format allows students to progress more quickly while maintaining access to the same high-quality instruction and clinical experiences JMU’s BSN programs are known for.

The BSN–Fast Flex pathway is regulated by the Virginia Board of Nursing to operate as a nurse education program and prepares students to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination. Licensure qualifications vary by state. Explore and identify the qualifications required for your respective state.
