Fast Flex Nursing Students

JMU offers a 4-year program leading to a Bachelor of Nursing degree. Students entering JMU as a freshman typically spend the first two years completing General Education requirements, nursing prerequisites, and a mix of electives before applying to the BSN program.

Transfer students from other colleges or universities must complete at least one full-time semester at JMU before they can apply. Please note that students who already hold a bachelor’s degree from another institution are not eligible to earn a second bachelor’s degree at JMU.

The BSN–Fast Flex pathway prepares students for practice as entry-level generalist nurses. Its curriculum is built around the School of Nursing’s Student Learning Outcomes, ensuring graduates are ready to meet the demands of professional nursing.

Students may choose to participate in the Honors College, complete a minor, or complete a concentration in addition to their major requirements.
