Fulbright Scholar Awards

Fulbright Scholars Awards provide opportunities for research, teaching, or professional projects. This is the most common type of Fulbright award and is open to scholars at all career levels, though different locations may have varying eligibility.

Length: A few months up to a year

Distinguished Scholar Awards

The Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Award is designed to attract experts in their field as a means to share knowledge across cultures while promoting mutual understanding. At least seven years of experience is required.

Fulbright Specialist Program

The Fulbright Specialist Program sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad. A wide vareity of professional and academic disciplines are represented and actvities may include delivering seminars, consulting work, or conducting assessment.

Length: Two-to-six weeks

Deadline: Rolling

International Education Administrators Award

The Fulbright International Education Administrators (IEA) Awards are designed to foster exchange between higher education systems. They include campus visits, briefings from faculty and adminitrators, and tours of cultural and historial sites.

Length: Two weeks
Location: France and Sengal, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany
Deadline: Varies by location
