Our staff is responsible for managing the University's fixed assets, which includes land, buildings, improvements other than buildings, construction in progress, and equipment and currently use the fixed asset system, Sunflower Enterprise.

Directions:  From Memorial Hall, travel North on Rt.42 (North High St.) for approximately 1.5 miles(North High St. becomes Virginia Avenue).  The building is on the right (old Shenandoah Manufacturing building).  Turn in at the North end of the building (JMU Warehouse sign).  The entrance door to Surplus is between the dock doors.

Open Warehouse for Campus - No appointment needed - Wednesdays, 1:30 - 4:30 pm

NOTE:  No Open Warehouse on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.  The Surplus Property warehouse will be closed all day.

Visit our Surplus Inventory Listing. The surplus property inventory is constantly changing. Items are offered to departments on a first-come, first-serve basis.

E-mail a request to the Surplus Property Coordinator for an item/items not currently found on the inventory listing. The SPC will notify the department if requested items become available.

NOTE: We recommend that you always inspect items at the warehouse prior to delivery to your department.
Warehouse Appointments
Save your Department Money. We offer reusable items at no cost to your department!  Warehouse Hours are 8:30 a.m. — 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday by appointment only.
  1. Contact the Surplus Property Coordinator (SPC) to schedule a warehouse appointment. Provide the day and time you prefer to meet.
  2. The SPC will confirm your appointment over the phone or via e-mail. Typically, appointments are scheduled in thirty minute intervals to minimize trips to the warehouse. Please notify the SPC in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
