Mac OS X:  Changing Default Applications

• Browse to a file in which you would like to change the default application it opens
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Right click or Ctrl + Click on the file and select Get Info
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Look for the Name & Extensions: heading in the information window
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Click the drop down arrow under Open With and select your preferred program
• If a program is not listed select Other to browse applications
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Once an application is selected click the Change All button
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Select Continue to allow all files with the same extension to open with the selected program
