Jason is a graduate assistant working for the Challace J. McMillin Center for Sport Psychology and a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical and School Psychology Psy.D. Program at James Madison University. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University and his M.S. in Kinesiology, with a specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology, from the University of Minnesota in 2025. As a former Division I football player at Stanford, Jason understands firsthand the demands, pressures, and expectations that come with competing at the highest level. He has worked as a mental performance and leadership consultant at Premier Sport Psychology, and currently serves as Program Director for Leadership U with University of Minnesota Gopher Athletics, where he facilitates leadership development programming for student-athletes. Grounded in evidence-based techniques, Jason provides team workshops and individual sessions tailored to each performer's goals, focused on helping athletes perform under pressure and grow both in and beyond their sport. Jason's research interests include stress mindset, motivational climate, psychological skills training, mental toughness, student-athlete mental health, and the psychology of sport injury.
