ORD is happy to support interdisciplinary research that crosses campus boundaries to bring together researchers in different departments and colleges. Our services include:
- Madison Research Club Lighting Talks centered around certain broad themes, designed to foster connections among researchers in similar areas and spark new ideas.
- Research Clusters are regularly-meeting groups of researchers working on related topics. See below for a list of active clusters and upcoing meetings.
- Convergence Team Facilitation Meetings: When there is a funding opportunity with interest across campus, we convene meetings of interested PIs to explore their ideas and look for complementary approaches.
- Our annual Broader Impacts and Community Engagement Resource Fair, where JMU researchers meet with different JMU units and community partners who are potential collaborators in their work.
