The JMU Washington Center is an attractive, flexible venue for university programs and events in the nation’s capital.  Located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, the Center is home to the JMU Washington Semester program. It features two key spaces:

  • Classroom/event space with an abundance of natural light (see photo). The tables and chairs can be arranged conference or classroom-style, or removed for a stand-up reception.  Equipped with projector and screen.  Capacity: 30 seated, 45 standing.
  • Conference room with flexible seating and table arrangements.  Equipped with projector and screen.  Capacity: 20 seated.

Other features of the JMU Washington Center:

  • Fully equipped kitchen for catering (refrigerator, microwave, sink and dishwasher)
  • High-capacity wireless internet
  • Shared office available for faculty, event organizers, and/or administrators

Other features of the building:

  • 10-minute walk to the Dupont Circle Metro station
  • Garage parking ($20 per day) in the building.  Street parking also available.
  • Walking distance from numerous restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and stores in the Dupont Circle and Logan Circle neighborhoods
  • For larger events, there is a conference center on the first floor adjacent to a courtyard (capacity: 175).  In the adjacent building, there is a rooftop meeting/event space with a terrace (capacity: 50).
  • Café/deli in the basement
