I graduated from Mary Washington College with a double major in Spanish and Psychology. I attended graduate school at Appalachian State University Where I obtained my Master's degree in Student Development. I worked at the University of Maryland, College Park for two years as a Hall Director. I began my work at James Madison University in 2001 in the Office of Residence Life as an Area Coordinator. In 2006, I started working in the Office of Student Accountability & Restorative Practices (OSARP) as an Assistant Director. Since that time, I have also been an Associate Director and now serve as the Director in OSARP.
I am a member of several national organizations (ACA, ACPA, NASPA, and ASCA) in order to continue to learn more about assisting students in college in every way I can. I completed my PhD in strategic leadership in the summer of 2020. I enjoy learning and working in an environment focused on student development and growth.
In the Director role, I oversee the mission, vision, and strategic management of the department. I meet one-on-one with student to conduct administrative case reviews and chair TIX and Sexual Misconduct case review process. I directly supervise the staff who manage the Accountability Board and Case Management processes. I am thankful to work at JMU where helping students learn, grow, and develop is central to our purpose.
