Harrison Haynes is a senior Social Work major at James Madison University and plans to pursue a Master of Social Work to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Therapist. He currently serves as a social work intern with JMU’s Office of Disability Services, where his work centers on access, equity, disability advocacy, and supporting staff.
Alongside his academic work, Harrison leads a nonprofit coalition focused on digital well-being and safer technology policy, working closely with both the Virginia Governor’s Office and U.S. congressional offices.
Fun fact: Harrison married his wife, Hailey (The Valley's best 8th grade teacher ever), in June 2025. They are enjoying settling into Harrisonburg and building their life here together.
