Research Interest:
Dr. Kurti's primary research interests are related to the assessment of how lifestyle (i.e. physical activity and nutrition), age and sex modifies physiological and biological markers associated with the development of chronic diseases. Specifically, Dr. Kurti's research has focused on: (1) understanding the role of lifestyle in the development of chronic diseases (i.e. cardiopulmonary and metabolic diseases), and (2) employing acute and chronic lifestyle interventions to modify the pathways associated with disease development and progression.
