Application Deadline
The Accounting program accepts applications on a rolling basis. Completed applications should be received at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the semester in which the applicant intends to enroll.

Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

The GMAT requirement is waived for all JMU applicants and required for all non-JMU applicants. It is waived if a non-JMU applicant has passed all four parts of the CPA exam.
Prerequisites
Prerequisites are based on the background and previous training of the student. All students must be proficient with a spreadsheet program and have the following courses (or their equivalent) prior to starting M.S. in accounting course work. Courses must be taken at an AACSB accredited school.
