Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be required to submit an official transcript from the institution from which you received your baccalaureate degree. Official transcripts may be mailed (see address below) or hand delivered in the institutions’ original sealed envelope. An official transcript can also be sent through an electronic transcript database provider such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, or others. Electronic transcripts should be sent directly to Theresa Jennings at jennintl@jmu.edu. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution. Please note: A registration hold will be placed on your record which will prevent you from registering for future terms until your official transcripts have been received.
