The information security concentration uses a "blended" format of instruction. A cohort of 25 or fewer students will meet for 28 consecutive months to complete 14 courses for a total of 42 credit hours. Students complete one course every eight weeks. The program includes 10 core courses covering the basic business topics such as accounting, finance, marketing, management and strategy. Each of these core courses address some issues of information security as it relates to the specific discipline. Additionally, 4 courses focus specifically on information security topics that managers in today's business environment need to know.

This cohort meets face-to-face in Northern Virginia once every eight weeks on a Saturday at the beginning and end of every course. Instruction between face-to-face sessions is online, using synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods.

In addition to a MBA degree, all graduates receive the NSA-approved certificate: Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals (NSTISSI No. 4011).

The concentration is fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Tuition is $900 per credit hour. The cost per course is $2,700. The total cost for the degree is $37,800.
