Jennifer Risser joined the staff in 2009. She is the project manager and managing editor for The Journal of Conventional Weapons Destruction. In her role she manages publication of The Journal from content development and production through to publication. She also manages CISR's annual Post-Conflict Recovery Week—a week of speaker, art and informational events focused on post-conflict themes. Previously, she worked in the editorial division at Penguin Group in New York, the book buying division at Barnes & Noble Corporate in New York, and interned at Bloomsbury Publishing in London and the Penguin Group in London. Her background includes experience in all aspects of publishing including editorial, law, production and marketing. Jennifer received a Master of Arts in publishing studies from City University, London, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from JMU.
