Innovation Leader

Thomas has been an active music educator since 2013, when in his freshman year of high school he began giving piano lessons to his neighbors. He believes strongly in the duty of those with privileges to contribute to leveling the playing field so our world may become more equitable for everyone. His research interests include ways to break barriers to access, particularly as they relate to sex, gender, sexuality, race, and other characteristics. His most current project seeks to examine sexual assault in schools of music and ways to reduce its incidence. Thomas loves studying and performing piano but is also always up for learning a new instrument!
