Research Description

I am an environmental fungal ecologist studying the physiology, community dynamics, and ecological interactions of fungi with their environment and plant hosts. Using omics, culture-based bioassays, spectroscopy, and microscopy, I investigate how fungal communities respond to global environmental drivers and land-use changes. My research explores fungal interactions with nutrients and toxic pollutants like heavy metals, aiming to leverage these nature-based capabilities for bioremediation, ecosystem restoration, and a more sustainable world.
