Research Description
My scientific interests center around two themes: microbiology and biology education. Specifically, my graduate work focused on characterizing mobile genetic elements and viruses that infect bacteria, termed bacteriophage. Additionally, I am also interested in best practices in biology education and ensuring students are provided effective learning experiences in the classroom to prepare them for biology-focused careers.
