Advice for students: Pursue your education with a goal in mind - while also keeping in mind that it is alright if that goal changes! This will help you to keep a "big picture" view of your studies and serve as a source of motivation, as well. Also, be sure to take advantage of all the resources available to you. When choosing a school, it is important to consider what opportunities there are for engagement and student support services in addition to more traditional factors such as program of study, average classroom size, location and cost of tuition. Building a sense of community and finding opportunities for community engagement are a large part of a more enriching college experience. Lastly, don't be afraid to ask questions! As Admissions Counselors, we are here to help and happy to answer any questions you may have about pursuing an education here at JMU.
