Scholarship Overview
The JMU College of Business Gold Scholars Endowment was established by Dean Michael Busing in celebration of the college's 50th anniversary in 2022. The endowment receives gifts from alumni, parents, faculty and staff, organizations and other donors.
Annual allocations from the endowment will provide five (5), $10,000 scholarships for incoming first-year students with specified declared majors in the College of Business.
The scholarships are renewable for three years as long as the recipient continues in one of the specified majors in the College of Business, maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and is in good academic standing.
Eligible students will be invited to apply by the College of Business selection committee.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the College of Business Gold Scholars Endowment:
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to study in an area of Business
- Declaration of a major in a designated College of Business program; these majors include:
- Accounting
- Computer Information Systems
- Economics
- Finance
- International Business
- Management
- Marketing
- Quantitative Finance
