Our Mission Statement
The Office of Strategic Initiatives and Global Affairs provides leadership, strategy and support to the development of a global minded and inclusive culture within Academic Affairs that builds on the mission and vision of James Madison University while putting into action the division’s strategic plan. This office focuses on strategic initiatives that innovatively move the division forward and build global awareness that embraces difference, promotes equity and moves JMU toward inclusive excellence. We foster an environment that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion and civility while amplifying voices and equitably supporting faculty, staff and students so that they all have a space within our community to thrive.
