How to reset WINSOCK and TCP/IP

Windows 7 / Vista

  1. Click start button . In search box type CMD. Right click CMD and choose "Run as Administrator"
  2. To reset WINSOCK, in the command prompt type netsh winsock reset catalog
  3. Next, to reset TCP/IP, in the command prompt type netsh int ip reset reset.log
  4. Restart computer
