Windows 2000/XP/Vista IP Configuration and Management

1. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Command Prompt. (when using Windows Vista right click the CMD icon and choose "run as administrator")
   
   
2. This should bring up a command prompt.
   
   
   
3. At the prompt type ipconfig /all and press enter.
   
   
   
4. Type ipconfig /release at the next prompt and press enter.
   
   
   
5. Type ipconfig /renew at the next prompt and press enter.
   
   
   
6. You should now get an address that will allow you to operate on the JMU network.
