Viewing Departmental Folders in Email (IMAP) Clients
Windows

Note: Outlook Express is unable to view departmental email folders.
Please choose a different IMAP email client listed on this page, such
as Outlook.
Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2007
- Launch Outlook 2000 or 2002
- Log in to your email account.
- Select the Inbox of your JMU e-mail account
- From the Menu Bar select Tools, IMAP Folders (you may have to click on the drop-down arrow to see this selection)
- In the 'IMAP Folders' window, check the box next to When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders.
- Click OK.
You should now be able to see your department folders in your folder list. Tutorial also available.
Netscape 4.7x
- Departmental Mailboxes should show up automatically in your folders list
Netscape 6.0 or 7.0
- Departmental Mailboxes should show up automatically in your folders list
Eudora 5.2
- Departmental Mailboxes should show up automatically. To view, click on Mailbox (in the top menu bar), highlight Dominant and select the department mailbox you wish to view

- Open Entourage - select your JMU/IMAP
account.
- In the right-hand pane Expand request folder.
- Select the department folder you want to subscribe to and
Click the Subscribe button at the top (or
Click Subscribe from the Edit
Menu).
- The newly subscribed folder should appear below INBOX
under your JMU/IMAP account.
