Changing your e-ID and Active Directory passwords in a domain environment

 

  • Log in to the Accounts Portal to change your e-ID password, then restart your computer.  Log in to your computer with your new e-ID password and your Active Directory password will be automatically changed to the same value (e-ID and Active Directory password will be automatically "synced").

  • Please do not use any other method to change your Acitve Directory password because doing so would make your e-ID and Acitve Directory password "out of sync". If you attempt to change your password by means other than the Accounts Portal, then you should receive an error message.

  • When you receive your e-ID password expiration email notice, this will also double as your Active Directory password expiration notice. You will also receive a notification window on your computer when your Active Directory password is nearing expiration.
