You can highlight the thread in a color of your choice, collapse all the messages in the thread into one, or group the messages together in the message list. Viewing by thread makes it easy to view and manage your email, keep active discussions at the top of your In box, and quickly file and delete long threads.

    Drag and drop addressing

You can drag email addresses between any of the address fields in a compose window or into your Address Book. You can also choose to see just the name (and not the address) of people to whom you frequently send mail.

    Performance

With dramatic improvements in performance, Mail is the fastest way to get and send email on your Mac. This version of Mail also makes receiving and sending mail even quicker for users with a dial-up modem connection.

    Improved Junk Mail Filtering

Mail's junk mail filter is even more versatile, offering advanced options to help you take control of your mail and reduce the amount of junk mail you receive.

    Robust HTML rendering

Mail uses Safari's powerful HTML rendering engine to display messages in HTML format, so you see even sophisticated HTML formatting correctly in the message window. Also, your HTML email can be fully interactive.
