Meet Mason Wynn, a junior architectural design major who is excited to share his collection, “Across the Alps”, a photographic exploration highlighting the diversity of the European Alps region.

Mason began pursing photography when he arrived at college. He has learned a lot from his dad, an avid photographer. While most of his work focuses on capturing landscapes, he explains that his major often influences how he composes his photos, inspiring him to consider the color and framing more than he may have otherwise. His favorite part of photography is how it allows him to bring home memories from his travels, adding his own twist and style to every image.

Mason’s journey to the Alps began as a study abroad program, but he and a friend decided to fly to Europe early to travel along the mountain range. They visited Switzerland, France and more, hiking and camping across numerous trails and capturing many iconic locations. Of the more than twenty thousand photos that he captured of his visit to the Alps, his favorite is “Saxer Lücke”. After hiking to the summit and camping at its peak, he captured a stunning self-portrait overlooking the breathtaking view.

Mason hopes that viewers of his photography will feel the sense of adventure that inspired him to capture this collection. Throughout "Across the Alps,” Mason emphasizes just how much there is to discover in the world.
