You should choose courses at your current school that satisfy specific general education AND major requirements at JMU. In addition, to be considered a competitive student for admission, you should have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and successfully completed college course work in these core subject areas: English, mathematics, social science and lab science.

Advising Notes:
- Students must take both semesters of Anatomy & Physiology at the same institution in order to receive full credit at JMU.
- Students must take both semester of U.S. History at the same institution in order to receive credit for HIST 225 at JMU.
Additional Notes:
- The ideal pathway from VCCS to this major is the A.S. in Public Health degree (consult the B.S. Dietetics Transfer Guide). If your college does not offer an A.S. in Public Health degree, you may complete the A.S. Science degree with the appropriate courses listed on the B.S. Dietetics Transfer Guide.
