Cole is from Richmond, Virginia, and has been playing video games since he was a child. He started looking into collegiate esports in high school, and joined JMU's League of Legends academy team during his freshman year. Last year, Cole joined the Marketing and Broadcasting team to help broadcast more of the games being played at X-Labs.

Cole wanted to apply for the Innovation and Impact Fellowship to learn more at X-Labs and to help contribute around the building. Specifically, he wanted to learn more about how to plan and organize events at X-Labs and JMU.
