Jake is from Richmond, VA and is also a part of the eSports program through JMU X-Labs as the Rainbow Six Siege Captain. That is how he originally heard about the Fellowship opportunity. As the Rainbow Sic Siege Captain he and his team have won two national championships which are displayed in the arena at X-Labs. They look to make that number even more in the coming semesters.

Jake was interested in the Innovation and Impact Fellowship because of the professional development opportunities and real world projects the team would work on. Specifically in the analytics field as that is where he wants to work in the future. Before X-Labs Jake had worked on campus at JMU UREC and will be interning for Amazon this summer.
