ePAR Process
  1. Initiator: Submits ePAR
  2. Onboarding: Once all required information is received ePAR is approved (please see the Onboard Process below)
  3. Approvers: Department Approvers, AVP/Deans, VP/Provost, HR, Payroll
  4. HR: Checks for accuracy, verifies with HR Consultant, then approves, recycles or denies ePAR
  5. Payroll: verifies the information, then approves, recycles or denies the ePAR

Onboarding Process
  1. ePAR is received in the Onboarding queue
  2. Email is sent to employee with instructions on:
    • Section 1 of the I9
    • Background check release form
    • Scheduling a time to come in to complete other documents (tax and direct deposit) and part 2 of the I9
  3. Emails are sent weekly as reminders to schedule the Onboard Appointment (Emails mention that they will not receive JMU access immediately upon completing the Onboard session)
  4. During the “in person” onboard meeting the following is done:
    • Background check is completed
    • I9 is completed
    • Onboard documents (tax and direct deposit) are completed
    • Social Security card is copied
  5. The ePAR is approved/processed (Please note if any of the items listed above are not completed, the ePAR is placed on hold until they are completed)
  6. ePAR travels to next approver in routing
