With the combined efforts of Information Technology, Human Resources and the Office of the Registrar, JMU offers Bulk Email services to employees (faculty and staff), and students. Bulk Email is used to send information electronically to employees and/or students.
Human Resources processes Bulk Email requests to be sent to JMU employees. The Office of the Registrar processes Bulk Email requests to be sent to JMU students.
Employee (faculty and staff) requests:
1) Send the text of your bulk email in a word document to IT at request-bulkmail@jmu.edu so that IT may format the message for sending.
2) Complete pages 1 and 2 only of the JMU Email Request Form.
- Authentication using your JMU e-ID and password is required to access the form.
- Appropriate signatures are required, and
- Finance approval is required only when the request involves any type of business activity (fundraising event or any activity that requires a fee). See JMU Policy 4501-University Business Activity.
- Send the completed form (pages 1 and 2 only) and the text of your bulk email in a word document to Human Resources MSC 7009, or fax to 540/568-7916, or email to humanresources@jmu.edu.
Specialized Query requests:

Student requests:
The Office of the Registrar, 540/568-6281, processes all Bulk Email requests to be sent to students.
Bulk Mail requests:
Contact Mail Services, 540/568-6257.
