Carol Lena works across several units in the University including CISE, ISNW, and Center for Global Engagement as a Program Manager to advance research, external funding/grants, and sustainability initiatives. She serves on the Steering Committee for the Shenandoah Valley Regional Center of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development, also known as Sustainable Shenandoah Valley. Prior to her work with JMU, Carol Lena held various positions in the non-profit environmental sector as well as in the technology and software development industry. She is delighted that her daily work now envelopes science and technology as well as an emphasis on sustainability and global initiatives.
