Madeleine joined the Center for Global Engagement in 2026 as a Presidential Engagement Fellow. Her responsibilities include supporting campus events,  increasing access to study abroad opportunities, and updating department websites. She is proud to promote the Study Abroad office's opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, interdepartmental collaboration, and developing strong global citizenship. 

Originally from Vermont, Madeleine graduated from JMU in Spring 2026 with her bachelor's degree in psychology. During her degree, she studied cross-cultural psychology in Italy. Additionally, she served as a Program and Education Coordinator and an Alternative Break Leader in JMU's Community Engagement and Volunteer Center. 

Outside of work, she enjoys creative writing, sewing, theatre, hiking, and rollerblading.
