Nikema Bell is a scholar of language and literature with a diverse array of creative abilities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literatures in English and Creative Writing from the University of the West Indies (2022). She recently completed a Master of Arts degree in English, specializing in Victorian and Postcolonial Caribbean Literature at James Madison University in 2025. Nikema's academic experience includes teaching undergraduate general education classes, serving as a student ambassador for the English department, and providing support for incoming and current international students at the International Students Scholar Service (ISSS). She is an alumni member of the Sigma Tau Delta honor society and previous graduate assistant at Furious Flower Poetry Center where she served as a copyeditor, transcriber and podcast assistant. Nikema aspires to attain a Ph.D. in English, focusing on exploring the connection between mental health and creativity in literature. With a unique blend of academic depth and creative pursuits, Nikema Bell aims to make a meaningful impact in the field of literature and beyond.
