CVPA Alumni Mentor Proposal

The CVPA Alumni Mentor Program is an opportunity for students in a course to build a relationship with a CVPA alum through recurring engagement around the course content. Alumni mentors will be provided a $1000 honorarium for collaborating with the faculty/instructor to provide repeated engagements with the students enrolled during one semester. The total time commitment for the alumni mentor should not be greater than 8 hours and include at least 3 meetings/visits with the class. Interactions with the class can be virtual, in person, or hybrid. No additional funding will be provided by the college for travel or supplies for the mentor or students. Alumni Mentor Proposals will be reviewed by the Associate Deans and School Directors.

Proposals for the Alumni Mentor Program are due to the Associate Dean (Karin Tollefson) by August 1 for fall semester courses and November 1 for spring semester courses. Reviewer decisions will be returned within two weeks.

At the conclusion of the semester the faculty/instructor will submit to the Associate Dean (Karin Tollefson) a summary of the experience and outcomes (500 words maximum). Summaries are due by Jan. 30 for fall semester collaborations and May 30 for spring semester collaborations.
