DUKE HALL GALLERY OF FINE ART
Duke Gallery of Fine Art is a professional gallery featuring changing exhibitions of international, national and regional significance. In addition to showing contemporary art, a hallmark of the gallery’s mission is to demonstrate art’s multicultural and interdisciplinary dynamic. Dukel Gallery is located in Duke Hall. Located at 131 Grace Street, within a short walk from Duke Hall, artWorks Gallery is a loft space located in the former Graves Electric building. artWorks is JMU’s student-run gallery, exhibiting work by undergraduate and graduate students. The gallery features moveable walls; hardwood floors; large windows; and a high, open ceiling. Exhibits change, on average, every two weeks. Opening receptions are held on the first Monday of each show from 5–7pm. Regular gallery hours are held during the academic year only: Monday– Thursday, 12–5pm; Friday and Saturday, 12–4pm; Closed Sunday. NEW IMAGE GALLERY

MADISON ART COLLECTION
Containing over 3,000 art and cultural objects from the Neolithic through the 20th Century, the Madison Art Collection is located in the Festival Conference & Student Center. INSTITUTE FOR VISUAL STUDIES
The Institute for Visual Studies (IVS) at James Madison University is a center for scholarly, scientific and creative inquiry into the nature and workings of images. An incubator of new ideas, the institute fosters discovery, and the generation of artworks, scholarly products, and applications by multidisciplinary teams of students and faculty.
