Report a Security Violation

If your report concerns activity that involves a threat to health or safety, contact law enforcement.

 

You can use this form to report electronic abuse or a security violation to Information Security staff but if you want to include copies of email messages or logs, please use email to send the report directly to abuse@jmu.edu. If your report concerns an email message, please include the full headers in the report as described here. Without that information, we will be unable to determine the source or validity of the message. If you are reporting SPAM, please review the SPAM Information Page. If your report is based on a message you received from your personal firewall, please click here to review common causes and directions for submitting necessary log files.
