Windows 7 will be installed in all PC-based Technology Classrooms.
Microsoft Office 2010 will be installed in all general PC labs and classrooms. Office 2011 will be installed in Mac labs and classrooms.
PaperCut will replace the pay for print system which is currently used in the general labs. PaperCut operates very much like the CSPrint system that is currently in use. Live testing has shown that users adapt to the new system in seconds. Learn more about PaperCut at their web site.
Novell Netware will be retired. The "Big Red N" will be replaced by a new Desktop Shortcut that will allow you to login to the "N:" drive and access your network files and faculty folders.
NOTE:
All software is installed with standard/default settings. If you need add-ins or customizations, you must submit a Software Installation Request Form to ensure they are included in our images. Specific customizations and settings must be detailed in the software request.
Requestors of class-specific software are responsible for researching and testing their requested software for compatibility in the labs. New operating systems and major software applications are typically piloted in Carrier 101 and the 24 hour labs. Other accommodations can be made upon request.
