Class Specific Software Installation Requests

Class specific software should be renewed by the owner of the software.

KEY DEADLINES
April
  • 25 - Last day to submit software requests for software to be installed for the May and summer 2008 semester
July
  • 18 - Last day to submit software requests for software to be installed for the beginning of the fall 2008 semester
August
  • 4 - Software not renewed for 2008-09 semester will be removed from the labs.
September
  • 7 - Last day to submit software requests for software to be installed for the final fall 2008 image (for software not available for installation by July 18) to be available in the lab by September 29

CLASS SPECIFIC INSTALLATION REQUEST PROCEDURES
New Install Requests Renew Software You Requested for Most Recent Prior Academic Year
  1. review our software policy and requirements
  2. contact your college coordinator
  3. purchase the software
  4. submit a software installation request form
You will receive an automated renewal notice in April to renew your software.

Check Status of Software Requested By Someone Else

Check the owner and/or location by:

PLEASE NOTE:
JMU Applications and Mac Internet Applications are provided by the university.
These programs are automatically upgraded to their latest version each semester.
No action is required on your part.
