Troubleshooting
When a CampusNet technician arrives at your computer, here are their troubleshooting steps:
- Look to see if PC is getting an IP #
- Check the network stack
- Check and remove any AOL adapters
- Test another network jack
- Test another network cable
- Make sure Internet Explorer and Windows are updated
- Check and remove any proxy settings
- Check for Spyware
- Check for viruses
- Recommend the user format system and reinstall or contact a vendor
