CampusNet Troubleshooting


When a CampusNet technician arrives at your computer, here are their troubleshooting steps:

  • Look to see if PC is getting an IP #
  • Check the network stack
  • Check and remove any AOL adapters
  • Test another network jack
  • Test another network cable
  • Make sure Internet Explorer and Windows are updated
  • Check and remove any proxy settings
  • Check for Spyware
  • Check for viruses
  • Recommend the user format system and reinstall or contact a vendor
