NTC will be providing all network connectivity to these apartment properties, and residents will be required to follow NTC’s computer registration procedures. Computers will not obtain JMU network addresses. All network and internet connectivity issues should be directed to NTC rather than to the JMU Computing HelpDesk. With NTC’s Internet service, students will still be able to access all of JMU’s Library Resources with a computer running Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista or Mac OS 10.3 (Panther) or higher. The JMU VPN Client must be installed.

1. Download the VPN Client for your specific operating system (OS):
• Windows XP
• Windows Vista
• Macintosh

2. Double-click the downloaded vpnclient file to install the VPN Client.

3. After the installation, you will need to start the VPN Client by going through the Start Menu or Applications folder depending on your Operating System.

4. Click on Remote Access from the list of profiles in the VPN Client window.

5. Click the Connect button -- you should be prompted for your JMU eID and password.
